Vida

We went on a day trip from Santiago (Chile's capital) to the nearby Valparaíso, a pretty town that's worth spending a day in.

Lift

Lift

The almost antique lifts around town are essential ways to get you to the top of the hills that form Valparaíso.

In this excursion we saw various stone and sand formations which have been carved by wind and water.

The name "Valle de la Luna" or Valley of the Moon was given because of the range of colour and texture that makes this valley look like the surface of the moon.

Amphitheatre

This formation was given its name due to its resemblance to a Roman theatre.
