This is one of the larger "cells" that was used for torture and interrogation. Victims were tortured so badly that they started to tell the Khmer Rouge what they wanted to hear, despite it being a lie.

These are some of the faces of the victims of S-21. The Khmer Rouge kept very tight records of the victims and took photographs of them to make sure nobody escaped.

Mass grave

The mass graves have been sectioned off. Hundreds of bodies were found inside each one.

Skulls

Skulls

As bullets were too expensive, the Khmer Rouge used hammers, axes and even trees to beat the victims to death. The skulls have been categorised according to the way they were killed. Some of them have huge chunks missing.
